The festivities, which took place at the iconic Amazone in Cotonou, featured an impressive array of military parades and cultural performances, with the Nigerian contingent participating at the behest of the Beninese government.

The Nigerian contingent, led by Brig. Gen. Ayokunle Olufemi Owolabi, Commander of the 9 Brigade Nigerian Army, performed a precision march past in both slow and quick time, entertaining dignitaries in attendance.

According to a statement released on Monday by Maj. Akinola Ajibola, Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, Headquarters 9 Brigade, the contingent's display garnered applause from Benin's President, Romuald Wadagni, and other esteemed guests.

The statement noted that the Nigerian contingent, under the leadership of Brig. Gen. Ayokunle Olufemi Owolabi, thrilled the audience with a flawless march past, showcasing exceptional discipline, impeccable coordination, and military precision.
