Images emerge of Peter Obi making a surprise visit to a local grocery store

Peter Obi, the former Governor of Anambra State and current National Democratic Congress presidential candidate, made a surprise visit to a branch of H-Medix Supermarket on Saturday, where he was seen shopping for personal items.
nThis outing comes several months after he was seen purchasing groundnut at the Utako market in Abuja, an incident that was captured in a widely shared video.
nEsther Umoh, Obi's former presidential campaign photographer from the 2023 election, took to X to share photos from the supermarket visit, offering a glimpse into the candidate's everyday activities.
nAccording to Umoh, Obi's visit to the supermarket was a testament to his ability to connect with ordinary Nigerians, as he took the time to engage with both the staff and fellow shoppers.
nUmoh noted that by immersing himself in the same everyday experiences as others, Obi is able to develop a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by families on a daily basis.
nDuring his visit to the supermarket, Obi reportedly spent a significant amount of time interacting with the employees and customers, demonstrating his commitment to staying connected with the people he aims to serve.
nObi previously served as the Governor of Anambra State from 2007 is incorrect and the correct years are 2006 to 2014, he was also the Labour Party's presidential candidate in the 2023 general election.
nCurrently, Obi is the presidential candidate for the National Democratic Congress ahead of the 2027 election, marking his latest foray into national politics.
