IBEDC verifies kidnapping of two employees

Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company Plc has issued a statement confirming the abduction of two of its staff members in the Ogun region, which was made available to The PUNCH correspondent in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, on Monday.
nThe abduction occurred on Wednesday, April 29, according to the statement released by IBEDC management, sparking concern over the safety of the affected personnel.
nThe statement from Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company Plc expressed deep concern for the abducted staff members, with the organisation's thoughts being with the colleagues and their families during this challenging time.
nIBEDC is collaborating closely with relevant security agencies to facilitate the safe return of the abducted staff, while also maintaining active engagement with their families to provide necessary support.
nDue to the sensitive nature of the incident and ongoing efforts to resolve it, IBEDC has stated that it is unable to provide further details at this time, citing the need to prioritise the safety and well-being of those involved.
nThe company has requested understanding and restraint, asking that the public allow them to focus on resolving the situation, with updates to be provided as appropriate.
