Guide: Checking and Printing Your 2026 UTME Result Slip Made Easy

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has made available the first batch of results for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, although candidates are currently unable to obtain their official result slips in print form.

Candidates can, however, check their scores via SMS, with JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin announcing this in a statement on Friday night and noting that the printing of result slips will be enabled at a later date.

Those who took the examination on Thursday, April 16, can access their scores in the interim, with the board warning candidates against falsifying their scores, as tampering with official result messages constitutes a criminal offence.

According to Benjamin, candidates are strongly cautioned against manipulating the SMS received from the official platform to fabricate or alter scores, as such actions are considered a serious criminal offence.

The 2026 UTME, which commenced on April 16, is scheduled to run until April 22 across various examination centres nationwide.

To check scores via SMS, candidates must have at least N50 airtime on the phone number linked to their JAMB registration and send UTMERESULT to 55019.

Once the SMS is sent, the candidate's score will be delivered to them via SMS, providing an initial indication of their performance.

When printing of official result slips is activated, the slips will carry the candidate's passport photograph, full scores, and details required for admission processing, and will be available on JAMB's e-Facility portal at efacility.jamb.gov.ng for a fee of N1,500.

To print the result slip, candidates will need to visit efacility.jamb.gov.ng, log in with their registered email address and password, click Print Result Slip on their dashboard, and then proceed with the payment of the N1,500 fee.

Candidates will also need to select 2026 as the examination year and enter their JAMB registration number before downloading and printing the result slip.

Important tips for candidates include using only JAMB's official websites, efacility.jamb.gov.ng or portal.jamb.gov.ng, to avoid scams and keeping multiple printed copies of their result slip.

Candidates should also be prepared to provide their result slip during screening and admission, and if they have forgotten their password or email address, they can use the Forgot Password option on the portal or visit a JAMB office with their registration details.
