Glo unveils specialized data plan aimed at gaming enthusiasts and live streamers

Nigeria's telecommunications and digital services company, Globacom, has unveiled a new data initiative, introducing enhanced bundles under its "More Data More Value" offer, specifically designed for heavy internet users.
nThis move is in response to the growing demand for streaming, social media engagement, remote work, and online business activities across the country, with the company seeking to deliver higher data volumes and improved value for subscribers.
nIn a statement released on Monday, Globacom emphasized its commitment to ensuring that customers get more value for every naira spent on data services, while strengthening its position in Nigeria's increasingly data-driven telecom market.
nThe "More Data More Value" offer features weekly and monthly plans that combine daytime and night-time data allocations, supporting round-the-clock usage patterns and catering to diverse customer needs.
nUnder the weekly plans, subscribers can choose from a N1,000 bundle offering 3.7GB, comprising 1.7GB main data and 2GB night data, or a N2,000 weekly option providing 9GB in total, split into 6.5GB main data and 2.5GB night data.
nMonthly subscribers have access to a range of plans, including the N1,500 plan, which offers 5.2GB, made up of 2.2GB main data and 3GB night data, and the N2,000 plan, providing 6.25GB, comprising 3.25GB main data and 3GB night data.
nA higher N5,000 bundle is also available, delivering 16.5GB in total, including 14.5GB main data and 2GB night data, while premium users can opt for larger plans, such as the N10,000 bundle, offering 42GB, or the N15,000 plan, providing 64GB in total.
nThe structure of the bundles is designed to accommodate different categories of users, including students, remote workers, entrepreneurs, and entertainment consumers who rely heavily on mobile data for daily activities.
nThe company expects the offer to support small businesses and households that depend on mobile hotspots for connectivity, especially in areas where fixed broadband is limited, by providing convenient and affordable data plans.
nCustomers can easily subscribe and manage their data plans through the Glo Café app, which provides a simplified interface for monitoring usage and activating bundles, making it easier to stay connected and in control.
nThe "More Data More Value" initiative underscores Globacom's continued focus on affordability, improved user experience, and expanding access to digital services in Nigeria's evolving telecom landscape.
