Galatasaray turn down massive €125 million bid for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen

Galatasaray have swiftly dismissed a €125 million bid for Victor Osimhen, demonstrating their unwavering commitment to retaining the Nigerian striker amidst intense pressure from top European clubs ahead of the summer transfer window.
nThe Turkish champions rejected the offer, as reported by Forza Cimbom, and have also previously spurned a €120 million proposal from Atletico Madrid, underscoring their determination to hold onto the player.
nManchester United, Barcelona, and Atletico Madrid continue to pursue the 27-year-old, but Galatasaray have made it clear that they will not entertain any offers below their asking price, which they believe is justified by Osimhen's exceptional performance since joining the club.
nOsimhen has scored an impressive 59 goals in 74 appearances for Galatasaray, including 15 league goals and five assists in 22 matches this season, as well as seven goals and three assists in 10 UEFA Champions League appearances before the club's elimination by Liverpool in the round of 16.
nThe expected departure of Argentine forward Mauro Icardi, whose contract expires at the end of June, has further strengthened Galatasaray's resolve to keep Osimhen, as losing both players would leave the club vulnerable in attack.
nGalatasaray are prepared to offer Osimhen the captain's armband and the iconic No. 9 jersey, currently worn by Icardi, as part of a retention strategy aimed at deepening the Nigerian's emotional and symbolic connection to the club.
nClub officials believe that such gestures of leadership and identity may not be readily available to Osimhen at clubs like Manchester United, Arsenal, or Chelsea, where established hierarchies already exist.
nOsimhen has expressed his fondness for his time in Istanbul and his desire to remain at the club, but the sustained interest from top European spenders ensures that his future will remain a topic of speculation throughout the transfer window.
