FIFA has released its latest goalkeeper power rankings for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with Cabo Verde captain Vozinha and South Africa skipper Ronwen Williams among the tournament’s standout performers after the group stage.

The rankings, powered by Aramco and released on Wednesday, assess goalkeepers based on two key categories.

In Possession measures contributions to build-up play, passing and distribution, while Defending the Goal evaluates shot-stopping, goal prevention and other defensive actions.

While Paraguay’s Orlando Gill tops the overall defensive rankings following his impressive performances, including a penalty shootout heroics against Germany in the Round of 32, Vozinha and Williams also earned places among the tournament’s best.

Vozinha finished first in the In Possession category with a rating of 8.03 after completing 91 of his 130 passes and recording 34 completed line breaks during the group stage.

He also ranked eighth in Defending the Goal with 7.33 after making nine saves from 11 shots on target and helping Cabo Verde concede only two goals.

Williams ranked second in the In Possession standings with 7.64, completing 102 of 151 passes while registering 24 completed line breaks and 16 passes beyond the opposition.

The South Africa captain also made six saves during the group stage and continued his fine form in the Round of 32 against Canada, where FIFA said he recorded 92 touches and completed 85 passes, the most by a goalkeeper in a World Cup match since 1966.

Switzerland’s Gregor Kobel placed second in the Defending the Goal category behind Gill after making 11 saves from 13 shots faced and helping his side finish top of Group B.

Iran goalkeeper Alireza Beiranvand completed the top three defensive performers, while Norway’s Orjan Nyland finished third in the possession rankings.
