Friends-turned-foes: How a woman became central to Odumodublvck, BlaqBonez feud

Nigerian rappers BlaqBonez and Odumodublvck once enjoyed a close relationship, collaborating on songs and publicly acknowledging each other’s influence, but their friendship later deteriorated into one of the most bitter feuds in Nigerian hip-hop.

What initially appeared to be a battle over music and rap supremacy has since taken a deeply personal turn, with both rappers giving different accounts of the events that led to their fallout.

The dispute has involved social media attacks, accusations of sexual abuse and harassment, threats, legal action, record-label disputes and a disagreement over the ownership of a beat.

From friends to collaborators

Before their feud, BlaqBonez and Odumodublvck were friends and collaborators.

n

In March 2023, Odumodublvck publicly acknowledged BlaqBonez’s influence on his career, even admitting that he had borrowed some of the latter’s ideas.

The pair later collaborated on three songs, “DOLLERZ,” “TESLA BOY” and “TECHNICIAN.”

n

“DOLLERZ” was released in 2023, while “TESLA BOY” appeared on Odumodublvck’s 2023 album, Eziokwu. They collaborated again on “TECHNICIAN” in April 2024.

Their final collaboration came shortly before their relationship deteriorated.

The feud once took a musical turn

The dispute spilled into their music, with both rappers taking shots at each other.

n

One of the major flashpoints was BlaqBonez’s “ACL”, a diss track aimed at Odumodublvck.

n

The original track was later removed from major streaming platforms after Odumodublvck’s side reportedly secured rights to the beat. BlaqBonez subsequently released “ACL V2.0” with a new instrumental in April 2026.

The music dispute added another layer to their already strained relationship, as the rappers continued exchanging accusations and shots publicly.

The personal dispute

The feud later took a personal turn, with BlaqBonez saying a woman was at the centre of the fallout.

n

He made the disclosure during an interview on the Nevon Podcast, published on Wednesday on YouTube, where he explained that he and the woman had been in what he described as a “friends with benefits” relationship, unaware that she was also seeing Odumodublvck.

According to BlaqBonez, he had been intimate with the woman for about a year but their relationship was never officially defined.

n

“I can’t say she’s my girlfriend because we didn’t make it official. I called my relationship with her a friend with benefits because we were friends and we were intimate,” he said.

BlaqBonez said he did not know that the woman was also involved with Odumodublvck.

n

“The matter between us involves a lady. Somehow, some lies were told, and things escalated. The lady and I had a thing in the past. It started in 2023. We both met a lady at the same place and at the same time, and we were both interested in her.

“The lady and I had a non-exclusive relationship for a year; we had no label,” he said.

He said the woman eventually told him she wanted them to go their separate ways, although she continued contacting him.

n

“After a year, she said she wanted us to go our separate ways, but she continued calling me. I told her we had to set boundaries,” he said.

According to the rapper, he later became suspicious that she was seeing someone else and tried to establish who the person was.

n

He said the woman had previously told him that Odumodublvck was interested in her and had been sending her flowers.

n

“When we were together, she once told me he was simping over her and sending her flowers. I told her I didn’t want to get involved in that type of conversation,” he said.

BlaqBonez says he discovered Odumodublvck was involved

BlaqBonez said he eventually discovered that Odumodublvck was the man the woman had been seeing.

n

He said that if he had known earlier, he would have stayed away from her.

n

“If I had known, I would have been miles away from her. I would have asked Odumodublvck directly if we were that close,” he said.

He said he subsequently blocked the woman.

n

However, according to him, they later ran into each other in November and apologised to each other.

n

“I asked if she was dating Odumodublvck, and she confessed. I left her and left it at that,” he said.

Odumodublvck confronts BlaqBonez

BlaqBonez said the situation became more complicated after he learnt that Odumodublvck was planning a diss track against him.

n

Confused because he believed they had no personal disagreement, he contacted Odumodublvck.

n

“I was genuinely confused because we didn’t have an actual problem. So I messaged him to find out if we had an issue, and he told me never to greet him whenever we saw each other and insulted me,” he said.

According to BlaqBonez, Odumodublvck accused him of disturbing the woman.

n

“Odumodublvck accused me on the phone of disturbing his babe. And I’m like how? Then I told him that I’m not disturbing your babe. We had a thing and she sent me a weird message and I just called her to know why she sent me this message, but she didn’t pick my calls, and I blocked her.”

BlaqBonez said Odumodublvck then asked him when he last had sexual relations with the woman.

n

“Odumodublvck sent me a message five minutes after the call that when last did I have intercourse with her. And I told him, bro, I don’t know what she told you so I can’t answer this question and affect anything that you guys have,” he said.

According to him, Odumodublvck then declared that they were enemies.

n

“Odumodublvck now said, ‘Then we’re enemies since you’re not telling me.’”

n

BlaqBonez said he subsequently blocked both Odumodublvck and the woman.

When the feud spilt into public

The private disagreement eventually became public.

n

In June 2025, following the release of BlaqBonez and A-Q’s “Who’s Really Rapping”, Odumodublvck began taking shots at BlaqBonez online.

n

Odumodublvck later made it clear that he did not consider the dispute a conventional rap beef.

n

“You want to make it about studio. Na lie. We go meet again for the street. You know the level. This is not rap beef. Na me and you for this world,” he wrote on X.

The dispute subsequently involved their respective camps and record labels, with social media becoming a major battleground.

Woman breaks her silence

n

The woman at the centre of the dispute, identified on X as Bantu, subsequently released her own statement, giving a different account of her relationship with BlaqBonez and accusing him of harassment and threats.

n

She said she had sent cease-and-desist letters and accused him of threats, cyberstalking, blackmail and revenge porn.

n

“I sent two cease and desist letters for threats over two years. Two of which contained my concerns about revenge porn, blackmail, cyberstalking and threats, because I told him plainly I didn’t want to be his friend anymore, and he would not accept that,” she alleged.

She claimed BlaqBonez called her repeatedly and contacted her friends.

n

“He called me. He called my friends on different occasions, telling them to tell me to watch my back. He called me 32 times in one day,” she alleged.

n

She also alleged that he sent messages from different numbers threatening her and her family.

n

“For weeks and months, ending a friendship, my decision, my right turned into harassment. Into bullying. Into threats,” she said.

The woman further alleged that BlaqBonez eventually contacted Odumodublvck and gave him information about her.

n

“At one point, trying to make good on those threats, he reached out to OD and started feeding him lies about me,” she alleged.

n

She said she had eventually reported the alleged harassment to the police.

n

“All I wanted was to be left alone. I said it. I put it in writing. I eventually had to go to the police over the stalking and harassment,” she said.

She also accused BlaqBonez of using revenge porn against her and said she intended to pursue legal action.

n

“I’m taking you to court,” she said.

Sexual abuse allegations

By 2026, the dispute had taken an even more serious turn.

n

Odumodublvck accused BlaqBonez of sexual abuse and alleged that people within the music industry were shielding him.

n

BlaqBonez has repeatedly denied the allegations and said he is challenging them in court.

n

“So now, he is saying I’m a sexual abuser, but over the years, he never brought it up. Even when he was messaging me every day for three months, he never mentioned me being a sexual abuser. So, I don’t know how they got to the point of calling me an abuser,” he said.

He added that he wanted Odumodublvck to prove the allegation in court.

n

“I’m also suing him over the sexual abuse allegation because that’s a big allegation. I want him to prove it,” he said.

BlaqBonez also said he had filed a lawsuit against Odumodublvck over what he described as criminal defamation, assault and theft.

n

On August 12, Odumodublvck called out BlaqBonez’s associate, Bizzle Osikoya, on X, accusing him of enabling sexual abuse.

He wrote, “THE NUMBER ONE SEXUAL ABUSE ENABLER.”

n

He also accused Bizzle of supporting a company that he claimed had failed to properly address the allegations against BlaqBonez.

BlaqBonez hits back

Following the woman’s statement, BlaqBonez took to X on Thursday morning to defend himself.

n

“For two years I have been silent, but since you have come to engage me directly, I’ll respond. Don’t dial back. Show the evidence of sexual abuse like you and your man clearly stated, which has been clearly omitted in this new story that you have fabricated,” he wrote.

Earlier on Wednesday, he insisted that he had already addressed the matter in his interview and challenged his accusers to provide evidence.

n

“I’m doing this for victims of false accusations; sexual abuse was weaponised to try to destroy my career, and to destroy anyone around me. If that’s not manipulation of the highest order, I don’t know what is!

“If the two of you can destroy my career, then I never had one in the first place!,” he added.

A friendship turned bitter

n

What makes the feud particularly striking is the history between the two rappers.

n

Odumodublvck once openly praised BlaqBonez, collaborated with him on multiple songs and acknowledged his influence.

n

But by 2025, the relationship had deteriorated into public insults and threats of confrontation.

n

By 2026, the disagreement had moved beyond music, involving a woman, allegations of sexual abuse and harassment, legal action, record-label disputes and a battle over the ownership of a song.

For now, BlaqBonez, Odumodublvck and the woman at the centre of the dispute have presented sharply different accounts of what happened.

The claims remain contested, and the legal cases will ultimately determine the issues that can be established as facts.
