FIFA introduces latest soccer ball design for upcoming World Cup last-four clashes and championship match

FIFA has introduced the Trionda Final as the official match ball for the semi-finals, bronze medal match, and final of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, marking a significant development in the tournament.

The announcement was made by the world football governing body through a statement on its website on Tuesday, revealing the ball's role in the final four matches of the competition.

The Trionda Final ball will be used in the tournament's concluding matches, culminating in the final on July 19 at the New York New Jersey Stadium, USA, as announced by FIFA.

According to FIFA, the Trionda Final ball retains the performance-driven construction of the original Trionda ball, which was introduced in October 2025, but features a new premium design in gold, white, and black.

The ball's design is inspired by the journey to football's biggest prize, with the gold finish symbolizing the FIFA World Cup trophy, while the black base gives it a distinctive identity for the tournament's closing stages.

The design of the Trionda Final ball celebrates all 16 host cities of the expanded 2026 World Cup, with Dallas, Atlanta, Miami, and New York New Jersey being prominently featured, as they are hosting the semi-finals, bronze medal match, and final.

The remaining host cities, including Boston, Guadalajara, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Monterrey, Philadelphia, San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, Toronto, and Vancouver, are incorporated into the ball's triangular graphic elements.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino stated that the new ball reflects the significance of the tournament's closing matches, highlighting its importance in the competition.

Infantino expressed his enthusiasm for the Trionda Final ball, saying it embodies the unity and passion of the tournament's host nations, Canada, Mexico, and the United States, and will be used by the best players in the final four matches.

Through the Trionda Final ball, the 16 cities that have helped stage the record-breaking 23rd edition of the tournament will be further etched into FIFA World Cup folklore, according to Infantino.

The Trionda Final ball also incorporates the latest version of adidas Connected Ball Technology, which provides real-time ball data to support match officials in making faster decisions and enhance match analysis.

The World Cup semi-finals are scheduled to begin on July 14, with the bronze medal match and final set to conclude the tournament on July 19, marking the end of the competition.
