Ex-coach of Joshua forecasts knockout victory over Fury

Garcia, in an interview with ESNEWS, emphasized that Joshua's mental and physical readiness are crucial to his success, noting that while Joshua is always in top physical condition, his mental state will be the deciding factor. He expressed his conviction that Joshua has the skills and power to win, but must be 100 per cent mentally and physically prepared.

Garcia also acknowledged the unpredictable nature of Fury, who can still pose a significant threat despite his conditioning, describing him as a "street guy" who will give a good fight regardless of his weight or fitness level. Fury's unorthodox approach makes him a formidable opponent, according to Garcia.

The former trainer was unequivocal about the outcome of the fight if Joshua lands a clean shot, stating that his right hand has the power to knock Fury out cold. Garcia also noted that Fury is vulnerable to right-handed punches, which could work in Joshua's favor.

The Joshua-Fury fight is slated for October, with Wembley Stadium being the preferred venue, according to Fury's promoter Frank Warren, who also confirmed that the bout will be streamed on Netflix. The fight is contingent on Joshua's successful outcome in his scheduled warm-up fight against Kristian Prenga on July 25 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Robert Garcia previously handled Joshua's corner for his second fight against Oleksandr Usyk, after Joshua suffered a defeat under his previous trainer, Rob McCracken. Since then, Joshua has worked with various trainers, including Derrick James, Ben Davison, and most recently, Iegor Golub, who also coaches Usyk.
