President of Dangote Industries Limited, Aliko Dangote, has said drivers, cooks, traders, servants and managers will have the opportunity to own shares in Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals FZE. Dangote signed registration documents on Monday for the proposed initial public offering of the refinery.

Tanzania president loses husband

Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan has lost her husband, Hafidh Ameir Hassan. The First Gentleman died on Monday while receiving treatment at a hospital in Zanzibar, with the death officially announced by Vice-President Deogratius Ndejembi, according to the BBC.

UNGA: Tinubu, family face no US movement restrictions — Jimoh Ibrahim

Nigeria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Jimoh Ibrahim, has said President Bola Tinubu and members of his family face no restrictions on their movement in the United States during the United Nations General Assembly. Ibrahim said the Nigerian Mission in New York had received no notification from the US government imposing any restriction on Tinubu’s movement during the UNGA.

2027: Makinde rejects subsidy, proposes cheaper domestic crude pricing

Oyo State Governor and presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement, Seyi Makinde, has rejected a return to fuel subsidy, proposing domestic crude pricing as an alternative for reducing petrol costs. Makinde made the proposal while speaking at the commissioning of the APM presidential campaign office in Abuja.
