Deputy leaders of Councils endorse Otu and Tinubu for another term

The Forum of Vice Chairmen of Local Government Councils in Cross River State has thrown its weight behind Governor Bassey Otu and President Bola Tinubu, citing the slew of reforms and development initiatives at the state and federal levels that are starting to bear fruit nationwide, as the 2027 general elections draw near.

These remarks were made during a courtesy call on Ededet Eyoma, the Federal Commissioner representing Cross River and Akwa Ibom states at the Federal Civil Service Commission, at his Abuja office.

Christina Eso, head of the forum and Vice Chairman of Bakassi LGA, praised Commissioner Eyoma's open-door policy, describing his appointment as a perfect fit, given his impressive track record and wealth of experience in human capital development.

Eso expressed the forum's complete confidence in Eyoma's ability to deliver exceptional results, citing his reputable personality, exceptional abilities, and leadership capacity, and commended President Tinubu and Governor Otu for his nomination and appointment.

The appointment of Ededet Eyoma as Federal Commissioner, according to Eso, aligns with the Renewed Hope agenda and People’s First Mantra of the Tinubu and Otu administrations.

Forum Welfare Chairman and Vice Chairman of Biase LGA, Hon. Ekuma Ngwu, stated that the visit was intended to show support for Commissioner Eyoma and to wish him a successful tenure.

Ngwu reaffirmed the forum's support for both Governor Otu and President Tinubu, expressing optimism that the partnership between the state and federal governments would yield greater benefits for the people.

Commissioner Eyoma thanked the forum for acknowledging his services, describing the visit as a show of support from his home state, and pledged to work with all relevant agencies to fulfill his responsibilities selflessly.

Eyoma urged Nigerians to rally behind President Tinubu and be patient with the ongoing reforms, as the policies are beginning to produce positive results, and stated that the President is working to stabilize the economy and expand development nationwide.
