Davido's logistics chief, Israel DMW, mourns the passing of his 71-year-old dad

Tragedy has befallen Israel Afeare, the logistics manager of renowned Afrobeat artist Davido, as his father has passed away.

Afeare, also known as Israel DMW and a native of Edo State, shared the news with PUNCH Online during a phone call on Friday.

According to Afeare, his father, Mr. Afeare Eric, a retired Deputy Superintendent of police, succumbed to a brief illness at the age of 71 in an Ibadan hospital, located in Oyo State, on March 2.

Israel DMW remembered his late father as the foundation of his strength and the glue that held their family together, describing him as the pillar of strength who made their family an indivisible unit.

In a heartfelt statement, Afeare expressed his sorrow, saying, “It is sad losing my father at this time, and we still need him with us, but God knows better.

Mr. Afeare Eric is survived by his two wives and eight children, leaving behind a legacy and a family that will deeply miss him.
