Davido presents Mayorkun with a brand-new Tesla Cybertruck

Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has gifted singer Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, better known as Mayorkun, a Tesla Cybertruck.

The “Unavailable” crooner revealed the gesture in a post shared on his Instagram Story on Sunday, showing a photo of the luxury electric vehicle alongside a heartfelt message to his former signee.

“My gift to you. I love you #iammayorkun,” Davido wrote, while directing an associate, “#babzii_chilling pls have it delivered 2moro.”

Although Davido did not disclose the cost of the gift, the vehicle pictured is a Tesla Cybertruck, an all-electric pickup truck renowned for its futuristic stainless steel design.

A visual search by our correspondent showed that the Cybertruck retails in the United States for between $69,990 and $99,990, depending on the model and configuration.

In Nigeria, however, the luxury vehicle attracts a significantly higher price due to import duties, shipping and other associated costs, with brand-new units estimated to cost between N200 million and N340 million.

Mayorkun, who was signed to Davido Music Worldwide in 2016 before launching his independent career in 2021, has maintained a cordial relationship with the Afrobeats superstar, with both artistes publicly expressing mutual respect and support over the years.
