Dangote refinery initiates complimentary gasoline distribution to Abuja and five neighboring states

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has launched a free delivery service for petrol, targeting six key locations across Nigeria, including the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, as part of its efforts to enhance customer experience.

This initiative was unveiled through a notice posted on the company's official X handle on Wednesday, highlighting the refinery's commitment to providing convenience to its customers.

The states benefiting from this free delivery service are Lagos, Ogun, Rivers, Kaduna, and Delta, in addition to the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, allowing for widespread coverage.

To qualify for this offer, customers must purchase a minimum of 250,000 litres of petrol, making it an attractive option for bulk buyers.

The introduction of this free delivery service comes on the heels of a stakeholders' meeting convened by Dangote Refinery to discuss the implementation of cost-reflective pricing for petrol in Nigeria's downstream petroleum sector.

Following this engagement, stakeholders expressed their support for further reductions in fuel prices, aligning with the refinery's efforts to drive affordability.

Dangote Refinery had previously announced its fourth reduction in the gantry price of petrol, which now stands at N1,075 per litre, marking a significant milestone in its pricing strategy.

Abubakar Maigandi, President of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, noted that the retail price of petrol has decreased by N125 per litre over the past three weeks, with current pump prices ranging from N1,155 to N1,299 per litre, depending on the location and marketer.
