Paris Saint-Germain made a strong impression at the 2025/26 UNFP Awards ceremony in Paris on Monday, with Ousmane Dembélé being named Ligue 1 Player of the Year, a title he has now held twice in his career.

This recognition comes after an outstanding season with PSG, where he took over the mantle from his former teammate Kylian Mbappé, who had won the award for five consecutive years before moving to Real Madrid.

Ousmane Dembélé, the 2025 Ballon d’Or winner and recipient of ‘The Best’ award, has been a crucial player in 16 matches this season, scoring 10 goals and providing 6 assists, demonstrating his significant contribution to the team.

In 2026, Dembélé has also made 12 direct goal contributions in the league, just one less than Esteban Lepaul, further highlighting his impressive performance.

Upon receiving the award, Dembélé expressed his gratitude towards his teammates, stating that his individual trophies are a result of the team's efforts, and that "all the individual trophies I’ve won are thanks to this team", as mentioned in a statement released by PSG on Monday.

PSG's young talent, Désiré Doué, was also acknowledged for his impressive performances this season, taking home the Best Young Player award.

Pierre Sage was named Coach of the Year, a well-deserved recognition for guiding Lens to a strong title challenge against PSG during the campaign.

Meanwhile, Michael Olise was honoured as the Best French Player Abroad, impressing with his skills while playing for Bayern Munich this season.
