COMPLETE ROSTER: Countries Assigned to Tinubu's 65 Newly Appointed Ambassadors

President Bola Tinubu has given his approval for the deployment of 65 ambassadors-designate and high commissioners to various countries and the United Nations, with 31 non-career and 34 career ambassadors assigned to their respective duty posts.
nThe Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, made this announcement on Friday, revealing that the Senate had confirmed all 65 nominees in December 2025 following a thorough screening by the Committee on Foreign Affairs.
nThe Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been instructed to initiate an induction programme for the envoys immediately, who will assume their duties after receiving agrément from their host countries.
nThe list of postings includes 31 non-career ambassadors, with Senator Grace Bent assigned to Togo, Senator Ita Enang to South Africa, and Ikpeazu Victor to Spain, among others.
nNkechi Linda Ufochukwu has been posted to Israel, while Mahmud Yakubu will serve in Qatar, and Paul Oga Adikwu will be stationed in Vatican City Holy See.
nVice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas has been assigned to the Philippines, with Reno Omokri heading to Mexico, and Engr. Abasi Braimah posted to Hungary.
nMrs. Erelu Angela Adebayo will serve in Portugal, while Barr. Oluwayimika Ayotunwa has been assigned to Japan, and Ifeanyi Lawrence Ugwuanyi will be stationed in Greece.
nBarr. Chioma Priscilla Ohakim has been posted to Poland, with Aminu Dalhatu serving as High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, and Lt. Gen. Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau assigned to China.
nHon. Tasiu Musa Maigari will serve in Gambia, while Olufemi Pedro has been posted to Australia, and Barr. Muhammed Ubandoma Aliyu will be stationed in Argentina.
nLateef Kayode Are has been assigned to the United States, with Amb. Joseph Sola Iji serving in Russia, and Senator Jimoh Ibrahim posted to the United Nations as Permanent Representative.
nFemi Fani-Kayode will serve in Germany, while Prof. Isaac Folorunso Adewole has been assigned to Canada, and Fatima Florence Ajimobi will be stationed in Austria.
nMrs. Lola Akande has been posted to Sweden, with Ayodele Oke serving in France, and Yakubu N. Gambo assigned to Saudi Arabia.
nSenator Prof. Nora Ladi Daduut will serve in South Korea, while Barr. Joe-Kyari Okocha, SAN, has been posted to Ireland, and Dr. Kulu Haruna Abubakar will be stationed in Tunisia.
nHon. Jerry Samuel Manwe has been assigned to Trinidad and Tobago, marking the end of the list of non-career ambassadors.
nThe list of career ambassadors includes Ambassador Nwabiola Ezenwa Chukwumeka, who has been posted to Côte d’Ivoire, and Besto Maimuna Ibrahim, who will serve in Niger.
nMonica Okwuchukwu Enebechi has been assigned to São Tomé and Príncipe, while Ambassador Mohammed Mahmud Lele will serve in Algeria, and Endoni Syndoph Paebi will be stationed in Burkina Faso.
nAhmed Mohammed Monguno has been posted to Egypt, with Ambassador Jane Adams serving in Jamaica, and Ambassador Clark-Omeru Alexandra assigned to Zambia.
nChima Geoffrey Lioma David will serve in Mali, while Ambassador Odumah Yvonne Ehinosen has been posted to Equatorial Guinea, and Ambassador Wasa Segun Ige will be stationed in Lebanon.
nRuben Abimbola Samuel has been assigned to Italy, with Ambassador Onaga Ogechukwu Kingsley serving in Mozambique, and Ambassador Magaji Umar posted to DR Congo.
nAmbassador Muhammad Saidu Dahiru will serve in India, while Ambassador Abdussalam Habu Zayyad has been assigned to Senegal, and Ambassador Shehu Ilu Barde will be stationed in Ghana.
nAmbassador Aminu Nasir has been posted to Ethiopia, with Abubakar Musa serving in Chad, and Ambassador Haidara Mohammed Idris assigned to the Netherlands.
nAmbassador Bako Adamu Umar will serve in Morocco, while Ambassador Sulu Gambari Olatunji Ahmed has been posted to Malaysia, and Ambassador Romata Mohammed Omobolanle will be stationed in Tanzania.
nAmbassador Shaga John Shamah has been assigned to Botswana, with Hamza Mohammed Salau serving in Iran, and Ambassador Ibrahim Danlami posted to Kenya.
nIbrahim Adeola Mopelola will serve in Benin, while Ambassador Ayeni Adebayo Emmanuel has been assigned to Belgium, and Ambassador Akande Wahab Adekola will be stationed in Switzerland.
nAmbassador Arewa Esther has been posted to Namibia, with Ambassador Gergadi Joseph John serving in Gabon, and Ambassador Luther Ogbomode Ayo-Kalata assigned to Sierra Leone.
nDanladi Yakubu Nyaku will serve in Sudan, while Bello Dogon-Daji Haliru has been posted to Thailand, marking the end of the list of career ambassadors.
nAccording to Onanuga, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has already received agrément from the United Kingdom for High Commissioner-designate Aminu Dalhatu, and from France for Ambassador Ayodele Oke.
nNominations of the remaining 62 envoys have been conveyed to their respective host countries, pending agrément, as announced by Onanuga.
