MrBeast has maintained his top spot as the world's highest-earning digital creator, according to the 2026 Forbes Top Creators ranking, which was released on July 1 and reviewed on Sunday, with the industry's 50 biggest influencers generating a combined $1.02 billion over the past year.

The top creators saw their combined earnings increase by 20 per cent from $853 million in 2025 and by 80 per cent from the inaugural list in 2022, signaling significant growth in the creator economy, which has evolved into a mainstream entertainment industry.

Forbes noted that the creator economy has become a major player in the entertainment industry, with social media personalities now producing films, television content, and large-scale business ventures that rival traditional Hollywood studios, as stated in the report, "The creator economy is no longer trying to break into show business—it is show business."

Jimmy Donaldson, known as MrBeast, led the list with estimated earnings of $300 million, thanks to his massive global social media following of 873 million, and a business empire that spans YouTube, Beast Industries, Feastables, Lunchly, Viewstats, and Amazon Prime's reality competition series, Beast Games.

Dhar Mann ranked second with estimated earnings of $65 million, followed by British entrepreneur and podcast host Steven Bartlett with $52 million, while gaming creator Markiplier placed fourth with $38 million, and comedy duo Rhett & Link completed the top five with $37 million.

The top 10 also featured notable creators such as Codie Sanchez, Mark Rober, IShowSpeed, Druski, and Charli D'Amelio, who are increasingly expanding their reach beyond social media into various fields like streaming, publishing, advertising, technology, and consumer products.

Forbes based the 2026 ranking on estimated gross earnings between March 2025 and March 2026, taking into account creators' audience size, engagement levels, and entrepreneurial activities, providing a comprehensive assessment of their earnings and influence.
