Come 2027, Makinde Set to Launch APM's Presidential Campaign Team This Friday

Oyo State Governor and Presidential Candidate of the Allied People’s Movement, Seyi Makinde, is set to launch the party's state Presidential and Governorship Campaign Council this Friday, marking a significant milestone in the campaign trail.

The inauguration event is slated to take place at 3:30 p.m. at the Conference Room of the Governor’s Office in Ibadan, the state capital, as announced by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olarenwaju, in a statement released on Wednesday.

According to the statement, Nureni Adeniran, the Executive Chairman of the state Universal Basic Education Board, will assume a dual role as the Oyo State Coordinator of the APM 2027 Presidential Campaign and the Director-General of the state Governorship Campaign Council.

Other key members of the campaign council include Saheed Arowosaye, the former Chairman of Oyo East Local Government, who will serve as Deputy State Coordinator of the APM 2027 Presidential Campaign, and Hon Demola Ojo, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, who will act as Deputy Director-General for the southern region.

Dr Femi Ojo and Alhaji Siju Lawal have been appointed as Deputy Director-General for Oyo Central and Oyo North Senatorial Districts, respectively, bringing their expertise to the campaign council.

Hon Ramata Agberemi Dabo will lead the Women’s Wing as Director, while Hon Kazeem Bolarinwa, former Special Assistant to Governor Makinde, will oversee the Youth Wing as its Director.

Further announcements regarding additional members of the campaign structure are expected to be made in the near future, as the party continues to build its campaign team.
