BREAKING: Federal Mortgage Bank's Abuja HQ ravaged by devastating blaze

A devastating fire swept through the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria's headquarters in Abuja on Saturday, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake.

The inferno is believed to have originated on the fourth floor of the building, which is situated directly opposite the Central Bank of Nigeria's headquarters, before rapidly spreading to other parts of the upper section.

A witness to the blaze, Praises Chukwu, took to Facebook to share photos of the incident, describing the scene as the "Mortgage Bank of Abuja, opposite CBN, currently on fire".

According to Chukwu's account, the fire service team was working tirelessly to extinguish the flames, but the fire appeared to be gaining momentum, spreading across the top floor of the building.

As the situation continued to unfold, the cause of the fire remained unknown, and there was no word on potential casualties or the extent of the damage inflicted on the structure.
