Brazil Needs to Harness World Cup Expectations as Fuel for Success, Says Luiz Henrique

As a mere infant in 2002, Henrique was just a baby when Brazil last emerged victorious, claiming its fifth World Cup title, and he is now a key attacking option for head coach Carlo Ancelotti in the upcoming World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Henrique, who plays for Russia's Zenit, believes that pressure is an inherent aspect of football, particularly when representing the national team, and that it must be harnessed as motivation to drive the team forward.

In an interview with AFP from Saint Petersburg, the 25-year-old winger expressed his sentiments, stating that pressure can be a positive force, and that the team must learn to channel it into motivation to achieve success.

Henrique also expressed his sympathy for his injured teammates, including defender Eder Militao and forward Estevao, who are both sidelined with hamstring injuries, as well as Rodrygo, who has suffered a severe knee injury.

Regarding his own role in the team, Henrique stated that he will await Ancelotti's decision and, if selected, will give his absolute best, as he has always done, in the hopes of being included in the starting eleven.

Under the guidance of veteran Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti, who was appointed in May last year, Brazil aims to reclaim its position at the top, with Ancelotti vowing to lead the team to victory.
