Martin Odegaard has sent a warning to Arsenal's rivals, stating that the Premier League champions are determined to "win everything" after their resounding victory over Manchester City in the Community Shield.

Arsenal captain Odegaard was instrumental in his team's 3-0 triumph, delivering a man of the match performance and scoring the final goal in a dominant display in Cardiff on Sunday.

The match got off to a flying start for Arsenal, with Riccardo Calafiori scoring the opener after just 24 seconds, and Kai Havertz also finding the back of the net before half-time in the annual season curtain raiser.

This victory comes just four months after Odegaard lifted Arsenal's first Premier League crown since 2004, which they won by a seven-point margin over second-placed City.

The Norway midfielder believes that Arsenal's impressive performance against City, who are now managed by Enzo Maresca following the departure of Pep Guardiola, demonstrates that the team's desire for silverware remains strong.

Odegaard expressed his satisfaction with the team's display, saying "We played some brilliant football, a great performance and a great way to start the season, we showed our level today, we're ready, we're serious and we want to do it again."

He further emphasized the team's ambition, stating "We want to attack it, we want to do it again, when you get a taste of how nice it is you want to do it again, we want to win everything."
