Anambra invites candidates to apply for top civil service roles as permanent secretaries

Governor Professor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State is calling on eligible civil servants to submit their applications for the position of permanent secretary in the state's civil service.

This invitation was made public through an announcement signed by the Anambra State Head of Service, Ngozi Iwouno, which was made available to journalists on Thursday.

The announcement, dated March 27, 2026, was also sent to the Deputy Governor, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, and other relevant offices and parastatals.

Qualified applicants have until April 8, 2026, to submit their Expression of Interest forms to the Office of the Head of Service in Awka.

According to the notice, the Governor has approved the invitation for expressions of interest from qualified civil servants for the position of permanent secretary in the Anambra State Public Service.

The notice outlines specific criteria for applicants, including being a confirmed civil servant in the Anambra State Public Service and holding a rank of not below Deputy Director and not above Director.

Additionally, applicants must have a minimum of two years of service remaining before reaching the mandatory retirement age.

Other qualified officers outside the Anambra State Civil Service, who are on the directorate cadre, are also invited to express interest, as long as they hold the rank of Deputy Director or Director.

Eligible officers who meet these requirements are required to fill, print, and submit the Expression of Interest form, which can be found on https://www.anambrastate.gov.ng/, to the Office of the Head of Service in Awka by April 8, 2026.

Only shortlisted candidates will be invited to proceed to the next stage of the selection process.
