nThe theme of the conference is “Beyond the Inverted Pyramid Formula: Democracy, the Media, the Politicians and the People in Nigeria’s General Elections.”
nIn a statement made available to Saturday PUNCH on Friday, the President of AMCRON, Prof Eserinune Mojaye, said the conference would bring together journalists, media practitioners, politicians, political parties, academics, policymakers, social researchers and other stakeholders to discuss the role of the media in Nigeria’s democratic process.
nAccording to the statement, the association’s Director of Networking and Publicity, Dr Kehinde Oyesomi, said the conference would explore the impact of strategic communication, digital media and media ownership on public trust and the credibility of electoral information.
