US President Donald Trump was secretly flown from Turkey to Britain on a smaller military aircraft last month after an alleged Iranian assassination threat, while the White House publicly maintained he was travelling aboard Air Force One, according to reports by The Washington Post and The New York Times.

The operation occurred during Trump’s visit to Ankara for a NATO summit. A US official cited a credible Iranian threat as the reason for the deception.

Passengers were left stranded in Abuja and Lagos on Tuesday as aviation unions shut down Air Peace operations over allegations that the airline was frustrating workers’ unionisation and withholding the five per cent Ticket Sales Charge owed to the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority.

Corps Marshal Major Olaniyi Cole (retd.) said the women were living in inhumane conditions amid filth, poor air quality and hunger, and are receiving medical assistance.
