Adeleke Claims He Has Delivered on His Vow of Effective Leadership

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has vowed to introduce even more development initiatives for the people of Osun, should he be re-elected to office, thereby building on his existing track record of delivery.

Adeleke made this pledge during the Imole Campaign Council's consultation and mobilisation tour, which recently stopped in Erin-Osun and Ilobu in the Irepodun Local Government Area of the state, as part of the buildup to the impending governorship election.

In a statement issued on Thursday in Osogbo, and signed by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, Adeleke asserted that his administration had successfully fulfilled the promises it made to the people during the 2022 campaign, and that even greater accomplishments are on the horizon if he is given another term in office.

Adeleke expressed his gratitude to the people for their support, reminding them that he had previously promised good governance, which he claimed to have delivered, but added that the best is yet to come for Osun State, saying "But the people have not seen anything yet, we will do much more for Osun State".

Lasun Yusuf, the former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, spoke on behalf of other stakeholders in Irepodun Local Government at the grand finale of the campaign rally in Ilobu, and passed a vote of confidence in Adeleke's administration, while also assuring him of overwhelming support and victory in the August 15 governorship election.

In his royal remarks, the Elerin of Erin-Osun, Oba Yusuf Adekunle, offered prayers for Adeleke's successful re-election, and expressed confidence that the people of Erin-Osun would once again entrust him with the mandate to continue transforming Osun State.

Similarly, the Olobu of Ilobu, Oba Ashiru Olatoye, assured the governor and the Imole Campaign Council of Ilobu's support, and expressed confidence that the people of Irepodun Local Government would overwhelmingly back Adeleke's bid for a second term, saying "You have our prayers and our support, Ilobu stands with you, and the people of Irepodun Local Government will once again support your re-election".

The Olobu of Ilobu, Oba Ashiru Olatoye, further prayed for God's grant of victory to Adeleke, and for the strength to continue delivering good governance and development across Osun State.

The electorate is set to go to the polls on August 15 to elect a governor, with 14 political parties fielding candidates in the election.
