Accord Party Fixes N15 Million Price Tag for Governorship Nomination Forms in Run-Up to 2027 Elections

The Accord Party has unveiled its nomination fees for various elective offices, with a deadline of April 25 for the closure of its electoral window, as announced on Friday.

Mr Dele Oladeji, the Lagos State Chairman of the party, disclosed this information in a statement issued in Lagos, following a National Executive Council meeting held in Abuja on Wednesday.

The NEC meeting, according to Oladeji, was the final session for determining key pre-election activities, including nomination fees, primary election dates, and the mode of primaries.

Oladeji stated that the NEC meeting served as the concluding meeting for fixing nomination fees, primary dates, and the primary mode ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The approved nomination and expression of interest fees for governorship aspirants under the Accord platform are N10 million and N5 million, respectively, as revealed by Oladeji.

For Senate aspirants, the nomination fee is N5 million, while the expression of interest fee is N2.5 million, according to Oladeji.

The nomination and expression of interest fees for the House of Representatives are N3.5 million and N1.5 million, respectively, as announced by Oladeji.

Aspirants for state House of Assembly seats will be required to pay N1 million and N500,000 for nomination and expression of interest fees, respectively, Oladeji explained.

The party has also warned of the impending closure of the electoral window on April 25, with membership registration and the purchase of nomination forms ending on April 26, as stated by Oladeji.

Oladeji called on Lagos residents seeking change in governance to align with the Accord Party, emphasizing that it is the party to vote for in order to bring about change.

He emphasized that the Accord Party is making a clarion call for patriotic change agents to join the party, contest, and win, in order to be involved in the governance of Lagos State.

The chairman also pledged reforms in key state agencies and policies, stating that the Accord Party is leading the charge for a cleanup of bad political leadership and governance.

According to Oladeji, the party will elect patriotic leaders who will reform the state to bring a human face to governance and policies.

The party's primary elections are scheduled to commence on May 21, as announced by Oladeji.
