2027: Ondo Senator Calls on Disgruntled APC Members to Seek Harmony and Come Together

Senator Olajide Ipinsagba, representing Ondo North Senatorial District of Ondo State, has urged disgruntled All Progressives Congress members in the state to graciously accept the results of the party's primary election.

The primary's outcome has sparked controversy, with some party members protesting in Akure, the state capital, against the National Assembly election candidate list released by the National Working Committee and submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission.

Aggrieved members claim the list does not accurately reflect the National Assembly primaries' outcome, prompting Ipinsagba to call for unity among party members ahead of the 2027 general election.

According to Ipinsagba, the primary's outcome should serve as a unifying force for all APC members in the state to rally behind President Bola Tinubu's re-election and the party's candidates for the National Assembly and state Houses of Assembly.

Ipinsagba stated, "I appeal to all our party members across Ondo North Senatorial District and Ondo State to put aside their differences, reconcile, and work together to secure greater victories for our party in future elections.

He emphasized the need for unity, citing the upcoming presidential, National Assembly, and state House of Assembly elections, and stressing that a united front is necessary to achieve victory.

Ipinsagba praised President Bola Tinubu for his wise handling of the APC nomination process, demonstrating his commitment to democracy, fairness, and party cohesion.

He expressed confidence in President Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda, anticipating that the administration will continue to implement policies promoting national development, economic prosperity, and lasting peace across Nigeria.

Ipinsagba also thanked party leaders, delegates, and supporters across the six local government areas of Ondo North Senatorial District for their support during the primary and throughout his Senate tenure.
