2027: North-West must repay Tinubu with votes — Kaduna gov

Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has urged the people of the North-West to support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid, saying the region must reciprocate the administration’s interventions with votes in the 2027 presidential election.

Sani spoke on Saturday through his Special Adviser on Politics, Abubakar Muhammad Mamadi, during the inauguration of coordinators and members of the “Relax, Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria” support group for the seven North-West states in Kaduna.

The governor said the North-West had benefited significantly from the Tinubu administration, particularly in agriculture, education, youth empowerment and women’s development.

“No region has benefited under Tinubu’s administration like the North, particularly the seven states in the North-West region,” Mamadi said, representing the governor.

He urged the newly inaugurated coordinators to take the achievements of the Federal Government to the grassroots and mobilise voters across the seven states for Tinubu.

The support group brought together representatives from Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Jigawa, Sokoto and Zamfara states.

The convener, Mike Auta, charged members to embark on aggressive grassroots mobilisation, stressing that they must reach communities beyond the major cities.

“Go to all nooks and crannies of the states and mobilise the people. We must ensure victory for President Tinubu come 2027,” Auta said.

The group’s women’s leader, Karima Abdullai, said millions of women had benefited from cash assistance and empowerment programmes under the Tinubu administration.

She urged women across the region to support the President’s re-election bid, saying she was confident that more women would benefit if Tinubu secured a second term.

Also speaking, the Director of Town Hall Engagement and Special Duties, Farida Ahmed Bala, appealed to Nigerians to be patient with the administration, describing the period as one of rebuilding and restructuring.

“Let us be honest with ourselves, rebuilding a nation is not easy,” Bala said, likening the process to renovating a neglected house.

She added, “Patience leads to progress, and progress leads to prosperity.”

The organisers said the Kaduna inauguration marked the commencement of a wider grassroots mobilisation campaign across the North-West to secure support for Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
