2027: NDDC boss expresses confidence in APC victory

The Executive Director, Corporate Services of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Mr Ifedayo Abegunde, has said victory is certain for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

Abegunde also said President Tinubu would record a landslide victory in Ondo State.

He stated this in a statement after participating in the 48th National Council on Establishment meeting held in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. The statement was made available to our correspondent on Saturday.

According to him, Nigerians’ confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership is rooted in the administration’s visible achievements and reforms being implemented across the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Abegunde said, “President Tinubu has laid a strong foundation for sustainable economic growth, infrastructure development, social welfare, and national security, with tangible impacts being felt nationwide.”

The former member of the House of Representatives expressed confidence that the leadership of the All Progressives Congress, particularly the National Working Committee, would resolve every internal crisis within the party across the 36 states of the federation before the commencement of the 2027 campaign.

“This will thereby strengthen the party’s unity and ensure a more coordinated grassroots mobilisation effort ahead of the general election,” he stated.

The NDDC director listed some of the President’s achievements to include increased revenue to states through fiscal reforms, which enhanced federal allocations and enabled state governments to undertake more developmental projects; the student loan scheme, which provides access to interest-free loans for students in tertiary institutions nationwide; and the ongoing rehabilitation and construction of major federal roads, highways, bridges and rail projects across the country.

He added that the Tinubu administration had also performed well in the area of power sector reforms, making efforts to improve electricity generation, transmission and distribution, including investments in renewable energy initiatives. He said the administration had also expanded agricultural programmes aimed at boosting food production, supporting farmers and enhancing food security, among other initiatives.

“All these achievements are not limited to a particular region but are being felt across the 36 states and the FCT, demonstrating President Tinubu’s commitment to inclusive national development,” Abegunde said.

He urged the people of Ondo State and Nigerians at large to continue supporting the administration, assuring that the state would stand firmly with Tinubu and deliver massive votes in appreciation of the President’s developmental strides.
