2027: Abbas, ADP's Presidential Hopeful, Vows to Build a 'Reborn Nigeria

Amb Aliyu Bin Abbas, the presidential candidate of the Action Democratic Party, has been officially introduced to his supporters in Kano, with his campaign team touting him as a viable alternative who can reposition Nigeria, ahead of the 2027 general election.

The unveiling ceremony, which took place on Wednesday at the Bristol Palace Hotel in Kano, was organised by the Aliyu Bin Abbas Organisation and drew a diverse crowd of political supporters, youth groups, women, professionals, entertainers, and other stakeholders.

A statement released on Thursday by Jacob Dickson, the Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the ADP presidential candidate, described the gathering as the public launch of Abbas' presidential campaign movement.

According to the statement, the event was attended by prominent personalities who expressed their support for the ADP standard-bearer and his vision for a united and prosperous Nigeria.

Ali Jita, the National Convener of the Aliyu Bin Abbas Organisation and a popular singer, producer, and filmmaker, stated that he established the organisation due to his conviction that Nigeria deserves visionary leadership.

Jita urged Nigerians to support Abbas, whom he described as a leader capable of driving national development and restoring public confidence in governance.

Abbas described the unveiling as the beginning of a movement driven by hope and a shared commitment to building a better Nigeria, during his speech at the event.

He stated, "Yesterday marked the birth of a movement driven by hope, purpose, and an unwavering commitment to building a New Nigeria," and added that the overwhelming support demonstrated at the event reaffirmed that the dream of a prosperous and united Nigeria is alive in the hearts of the people.

Abbas commended Jita for his support and commitment to the movement, expressing his deepest appreciation and gratitude for the entertainer's exceptional courage and steadfast belief in their collective quest.

According to the statement, Abbas noted that Jita's support had inspired many Nigerians, particularly young people, to believe that positive change is possible.

Abbas added that, together, with faith in God Almighty and the collective determination of Nigerians, they would build a nation where justice prevails, opportunities abound, and every citizen can live with dignity, peace, and hope.

The ADP is among the political parties expected to participate in the 2027 general elections, with political activities and consultations gaining momentum across the country as aspirants intensify preparations for the polls.
