Trump Expected to Make Appearance at NBA Finals Game 3 in New York

US President Donald Trump has confirmed his attendance at game three of the NBA Finals, set to take place at Madison Square Garden on Monday, after accepting an invitation from New York Knicks owner James Dolan.
nWhen questioned by reporters at the House, Trump responded with a definitive "yes" regarding his attendance, stating "He's invited me, I'm going."
nThe New York Knicks will face off against the San Antonio Spurs in game three of the best-of-seven championship series on Monday, followed by game four on Wednesday, June 10.
nInitially, Trump was unclear about which game he would attend, leaving open the possibility of attending both, but the White House has since confirmed his intention to be at Monday's game in its daily guidance on the president's schedule.
nTrump's presence at the game is expected to result in significantly heightened security measures in and around the Midtown Manhattan venue.
nThe Knicks are competing in the Finals for the first time since 1999, a year in which Trump held courtside seats, and are seeking their first title since 1973.
nThe team's current winning streak, which includes a game one win in San Antonio on Wednesday, marks their 12th consecutive victory in these playoffs.
nThis successful run has fueled intense enthusiasm in the Big Apple, accompanied by exceptionally high ticket prices for Finals games.
nNBA commissioner Adam Silver expressed his excitement that the president wants to be a part of the event, stating that he is "thrilled" Trump is interested in participating.
nSilver described Trump as "very much a New Yorker" who wants to share in the excitement and joy surrounding the Knicks team.
nPrior to seeking public office, Trump was an avid Knicks fan, and Silver recalled attending numerous Knicks games with him in the past.
nSilver also mentioned that Trump once appeared in an "I Love this Game" NBA promotional spot, created during the 2004-05 season, which featured multiple celebrities and played on Trump's "You're fired" tagline from the reality show "The Apprentice."
