Trump Claims Iran on Brink of Financial Ruin Due to Strait of Hormuz Disruption
On Tuesday, US President Donald Trump made a statement regarding Iran's financial situation, claiming the country is experiencing financial collapse due to the closure of the vital Strait of Hormuz.
nTrump expressed his views on Truth Social, where he wrote that Iran is eager to have the Strait of Hormuz opened right away, and also described the Islamic republic as being in a state of financial desperation, "starving for cash".
nEarlier, Trump had posted that according to Tehran, the closure of the strait was supported in order to "save face" amidst the US blockade of Iranian ports, which has been imposed by the US.
nTrump's comments were made on Tuesday, and were posted on his Truth Social account, where he shared his thoughts on the current situation with Iran and the Strait of Hormuz.
