Truck crash in Jos claims three lives, including motorist

A tragic accident at the Polo Roundabout in Jos, Plateau State, has resulted in the loss of three lives, as reported by Golok Nanmwa, JOS.

The accident occurred when a truck lost control, leading to a fatal crash that claimed the lives of the driver and two other persons.

The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, has confirmed the incident, with the command’s Public Education Officer, Peter Longsan, providing details to newsmen.

According to Longsan, the crash occurred at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Monday, with the cause attributed to loss of control.

Longsan warned drivers against reckless driving, particularly at odd hours when visibility may be poor and fatigue can impair judgment, emphasizing the importance of safe driving practices.

He advised motorists to ensure their vehicles are in good condition before embarking on any journey and to strictly adhere to speed limits and traffic regulations.

The FRSC official also cautioned road users to avoid overloading and dangerous driving, stressing that compliance with safety measures is crucial to reducing road crashes and saving lives.
