Tragedy strikes Nollywood's Patrick Doyle as his infant daughter passes away

Veteran Nollywood actor Patrick Doyle has shared the devastating news of the passing of his newborn daughter, Omayinuwa Harriet, who left an indelible mark despite her brief presence.

Doyle took to his Facebook page on Sunday to break the news, disclosing that the baby's life was tragically cut short on Saturday at approximately 4:15 p.m., just one day after she was born.

In a poignant post, Doyle penned a heartfelt message, stating, "Omayinuwa visited us briefly at about 10:40 am on Friday 10th April and returned to heaven on Saturday 11th of April at about 4:15 pm," highlighting the fleeting nature of her time with them.

He reflected on the experience, noting that although her stay was short, it brought immense joy, and while they had wished for a longer time with her, it was not meant to be, as "heaven thought otherwise."

Doyle's message also conveyed his unwavering faith, asserting, "This much we know though, God still rules in the affairs of men," and reaffirming that their trust in God's goodness remains unshaken, as they accept the situation with the words "Sibe' sibe' Oluwa n'be'," which translates to "It is well with our soul."

The baby was Doyle's child with his third wife, Funmilayo, and her birth had been announced by the actor on Friday, with the assurance that both mother and child were in good health at the time.
