Toyin Abraham Disclaims Involvement in Big Ayo's Reported Rearrest

Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has categorically denied allegations linking her to the purported re-arrest of social media influencer Big Ayo, labeling such claims as baseless and urging the public to disregard them.

The rumor, which gained traction online, implied that Abraham was instrumental in the influencer's alleged re-arrest, following a dispute between the two in 2024.

Abraham swiftly responded to the claims, stating "Arrest Ayo as how, pls this is fake and false news. I’m on set filming. Pls kindly disregard. I didn’t get Ayo or anyone arrested; it’s all love from me," in an effort to clarify her position.

The allegation was initially propagated by an X user named Khan, who posted a since-deleted claim that the influencer had been re-arrested at Abraham's behest.

A statement issued on X by Prince Adeshina on Tuesday night, on behalf of the actress, explicitly refuted the allegations, stating "For the attention of the general public: Toyin Abraham was at a movie location and did not arrest Ayo,".

The statement further cautioned the public to treat the circulating report as "fake news" and put the author of the report on notice to provide evidence to support their claims if required.

Prince Adeshina later provided an update, confirming that Big Ayo was indeed arrested, but this was done on the instructions of a private citizen whom he had defamed, and not on the instructions of Toyin Abraham.

Abraham reposted both statements on X, effectively distancing herself from the controversy surrounding the influencer's arrest.
