Tonto Dikeh admits to having made numerous errors throughout her life

Tonto Dikeh, a Nollywood actress-turned-evangelist, has expressed profound remorse for past errors, stating that they have been instrumental in shaping her voice to convey messages of truth, grace, and redemption, as ordained by God.

Meanwhile, Dikeh is facing a ₦200 million lawsuit filed by human rights lawyer Ikechukwu Obasi, stemming from a viral deliverance session involving a minor, in which the child's rights to dignity and privacy were allegedly violated.

The incident in question occurred on March 6, 2026, and was captured in a video that was subsequently shared on Dikeh's Facebook page, showing the child being laid on the ground and pressed against a stony surface during the deliverance ritual.

In a reflective Instagram post, Dikeh acknowledged her past mistakes, stating that they have contributed to her spiritual growth, and that God has utilized these experiences to shape her voice into a powerful instrument for spreading truth and redemption.

Dikeh wrote, "I have made many mistakes in my life, painful ones, costly ones, but today, I understand that God did not waste any of them, He used them to shape my voice into one that speaks truth, grace and redemption."

She further added, "I do not wish I had known then what I know now, because if I had never walked through those seasons, I would not carry the message I carry today, my story would lack the depth that comes from experiencing God’s mercy firsthand."

The lawsuit, filed at the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory in Abuja, seeks several declarations and court orders, including ₦200 million in damages, as well as the removal of the video from social media platforms and a public apology.

The suit was filed on behalf of a Junior Secondary School 1 pupil of Junior Secondary School, Durumi II, Abuja, who hails from Rivers State, and as of the time of this report, Dikeh had yet to formally respond to the lawsuit.
