Tinubu's government is having a positive impact on satellite towns in the Federal Capital Territory, according to Wike

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has stated that satellite towns are reaping benefits from President Bola Tinubu's administration through the development of infrastructure and expansion of social services.

During an inspection of ongoing projects in Abuja on Wednesday, Wike observed that the administration's interventions now extend beyond road construction to include education, water, and healthcare facilities.

According to Wike, satellite towns have never experienced such a high level of attention, with numerous schools renovated and furnished across rural communities within the FCT.

The minister announced that the satellite water project in Bwari, Karu, and Orozo is set to be inaugurated to coincide with President Tinubu's third-year anniversary in office.

Wike also revealed that the government is addressing health infrastructure gaps by rehabilitating several health facilities across the territory.

The administration's focus, Wike emphasized, is not solely on road construction, but also on enhancing essential public services in underserved communities.

Wike expressed disappointment with the slow pace of the road project linking the Central Business District to Wuse along the Transit Way N2 Corridor, despite satisfactory work quality.

The minister warned that he would not tolerate further delays and directed the Federal Capital Development Authority to ensure the contractor accelerates work and completes the project by the second week of June.

At the N16 Interchange connecting Jahi and Gwarinpa districts, Wike praised the contractor for the quality of work and expressed optimism about the project's timely completion.

Wike also commended the progress on the road linking the Body of Benchers, Nile University, and Baze University, describing the pace and quality as satisfactory.

During an inspection at Tungan Madaki, Wike examined the road linking Bill Clinton Drive to Zuba and noted that compensation issues for affected communities were being processed through relevant agencies.
