Tinubu Group begins mobilisation for 2027 re-election

The Renewed Hope for Greater Nigeria (RHGN) has commenced preparations for a nationwide mobilisation campaign in support of President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in the 2027 general elections.

The group is expected to flag off its national campaign in Jos, Plateau State, where it will also inaugurate its State Executive Council and Local Government Coordinators.

According to a statement signed by RHGN’s National Leader and Convener, Hon. Calistus Anyanwu, the event is part of the group’s efforts to strengthen its grassroots structures ahead of the elections.

The Chief Host of the event is the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda.

Anyanwu said RHGN was different from other groups supporting Tinubu because of its focus on communicating the policies and achievements of the administration to Nigerians.

He listed the removal of fuel subsidy, unification of the foreign exchange market, establishment of the Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), ongoing tax reforms and direct allocation remittances to local governments among the policies and initiatives the group plans to highlight during its mobilisation campaign.

According to him, the inauguration will activate the group’s structures at the ward and local government levels across Plateau State.

He said the structure would be modelled on the group’s mobilisation efforts in the South-East, where RHGN has announced plans to deploy a “Booth Army” to polling units to mobilise voters.

Anyanwu said the Plateau launch would mark another step in RHGN’s plan to establish grassroots structures across the country ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The group said its mobilisation campaign would focus on taking the administration’s policies and programmes to voters at the grassroots and building support for Tinubu’s re-election.
