Tinubu garners 100,800 votes in Osun's APC presidential nomination contest

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has concluded its presidential primary election across the nation, with President Bola Tinubu emerging as the winner in Osun State, garnering 100,880 votes.

In a landslide victory, his opponent, Mr Stanley Osifo, received zero votes, cementing President Tinubu's win in the state.

Mr Gboyega Oyetola, the Osun State collation officer and minister of marine and blue economy, announced the results in Osogbo on Saturday, praising party members for their peaceful behavior during the exercise.

According to Mr Oyetola, the party has a total of 109,806 digitally registered members, with 100,880 accredited for the primary election.

Declaring the results, Mr Oyetola stated, "By the powers vested in me as the Collation Officer for Osun State, I hereby declare His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, as the winner of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Primary Election 2026 in Osun State.

He urged party members to remain united and committed, as the journey ahead will require sacrifice and sustained mobilisation, particularly with the forthcoming governorship election on August 15, 2026.

Mr Oyetola emphasized that the exercise demonstrated the APC's commitment to democratic values, internal cohesion, transparency, and progressive governance.

The peaceful conduct of the primary election across Osun State's thirty Local Government Areas and the Ife East Area Office was cited as a testament to the party's enduring strength and unity.
