Tinubu extends warm wishes to Airtel Nigeria's Executive Director, Prince Adeniran, on his 90th birthday

President Bola Tinubu has extended his congratulations to Prince Femi Adeniran on the occasion of his 50th birthday, which falls on June 1, 2026, in recognition of his notable contributions to the public service, private sector leadership, investment promotion, and national development.

According to a statement released by the President's spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu joined Prince Adeniran's family, friends, colleagues, and associates in celebrating his birthday, honoring his distinguished career as a respected corporate executive, public policy advocate, and investment promotion expert.

President Tinubu commended Prince Adeniran's unwavering patriotism and sense of duty, particularly his willingness to transition from the private sector to serve the public interest at pivotal moments in Nigeria's democratic and economic evolution.

The President recalled that Prince Adeniran first demonstrated this spirit of service during the 2011 presidential election, when he served as Chief of Staff to the Vice Presidential Candidate of the Action Congress of Nigeria.

Prince Adeniran's role in the 2011 election contributed to the organisational and strategic work that helped strengthen the progressive movement, President Tinubu noted.

Following the 2011 election, Prince Adeniran was identified by a team established by President Tinubu to support governance reforms and institutional efficiency, and was subsequently seconded to the Governor's Office in Osun State between 2011 and 2014.

President Tinubu acknowledged Prince Adeniran's stewardship as the Pioneer Chief Executive Officer of the Osun State Investment Promotion Agency from 2019 to 2022, under the administration of former Governor Adegboyega Oyetola.

During his tenure, Prince Adeniran helped reposition the state's investment promotion architecture, strengthened investor engagement, and advanced public-private collaboration for economic growth.

President Tinubu also recognised Prince Adeniran's remarkable private sector journey, which has taken him through leading domestic and international organisations in financial services, education technology, and telecommunications.

The President commended Prince Adeniran's return to executive leadership in 2023 as Executive Director, Airtel Nigeria, where he is responsible for Stakeholder Management, Communications, and CSR.

In this role, Prince Adeniran's broad cross-sector experience has continued to support constructive industry engagement, corporate leadership, and dialogue between the telecommunications sector and government.

President Tinubu described Prince Adeniran as a bridge builder, visionary communicator, and committed patriot whose professional journey reflects the best values of private enterprise, public service, and national duty.
