Tinubu Convenes Emergency Talks with Top Security Officials and Ribadu to Address Rising Crime Wave

President Bola Tinubu convened a private gathering with the nation's top security brass on Thursday, with attendees including Inspector-General of Police Tunji Disu, in a session that unfolded behind closed doors.

The meeting, which spanned nearly two hours, was held at the State House in Abuja, commencing in the afternoon upon the arrival of the security chiefs and drawing to a close at approximately 5:10 p.m.

Key figures in attendance included Minister of Defence Christopher Musa, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, and Director-General of the Department of State Services Adeola Ajayi, as well as Chief of Defence Staff Olufemi Oluyede.

Other notable officials present at the meeting were Chief of Army Staff Waidi Shaibu, Chief of Air Staff Kelvin Aneke, and Chief of Naval Staff Idi Abbas, all of whom played a part in the high-level discussions.
