Third Phase Leaders and Beneficiaries Issues a Communique For the Continuance of Elaye Slaboh as National Chairman alongside his Executives.

We, the undersigned leaders and beneficiaries of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Third Phase, after due deliberation and in exercise of our collective will, hereby issue this communiqué:rnrn1. Resolution on TenurernrnHaving considered that the tenure of our National Chairman, Elaye Slaboh, was due to lapse on the 16th of September 2025, we unanimously resolve that he, together with the national and state executives, shall continue in office until further notice.rnrn2. Basis of ResolutionrnrnThis decision is not driven by personal interest or ambition on the part of Elaye Slaboh. Rather, it is founded on the imperative of ensuring the completion of critical projects and transformative initiatives he has already commenced—initiatives which, if interrupted, would jeopardize the collective progress of the Third Phase.rnrn3. Achievements of the Current AdministrationrnrnUpon review of his stewardship in the last two years, we acknowledge with appreciation that Elaye Slaboh’s leadership has restored dignity, direction, and purpose to the Third Phase. His tenure has repositioned us as rightful beneficiaries of the Programme through:rnrnLeadership training programmes currently underway;rnrnSecuring scholarship opportunities for members;rnrnImplementation of vocational and skills acquisition schemes;rnrnFacilitation of payments for BVN-affected accounts; andrnrnOpening access to empowerment initiatives previously denied us.rnrnThese milestones represent a clear break from years of neglect and have elevated the status of the Third Phase as a respected and recognized frontier within the Amnesty Programme.rnrn4. On the Issue of Parallel LeadershiprnrnWe note with concern the destabilizing efforts to create parallel leadership structures, particularly from the Delta Camp under the influence of one Ekpebide, following the appointment of Dr. Dennis Otuaro as Administrator of the Amnesty Programme.rnThis resolution therefore stands as a stabilizing measure to preserve unity, order, and continuity within the Third Phase.rnrn5. Character of LeadershiprnrnWe affirm that Elaye Slaboh is neither power-hungry nor self-seeking. Rather, he is a selfless, pragmatic, and exemplary leader, whose integrity remains unquestionable. His earlier decision to convene a Congress on 16th September 2025, in readiness to hand over, is further proof of his democratic spirit and willingness to submit to collective decision.rnrn6.
