Terror grips village in Plateau as armed attackers launch deadly surprise assault, claiming one life
A deadly ambush occurred in Tan Jol community, Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State, on Friday morning, as suspected gunmen attacked and killed a man, sparking widespread panic among residents.
nThe incident took place in the early hours of Friday, with the victim being waylaid and shot dead, according to reports from the area.
nRwang Tengwong, the National Publicity Secretary of the Berom Youth Movement, confirmed the details of the incident to a correspondent in Jos, providing an account of the events that unfolded.
nAs described by Tengwong, the gunmen lay in wait for the man in the Tan Jol area, ultimately leading to his tragic death, which occurred at approximately 7 am.
nAttempts to obtain a statement from Alfred Alabo, the Spokesman for the Plateau State Police Command, were unsuccessful, as he was unreachable for comment.
