Spectator Misbehavior: Football Federation Maintains N4m Penalty on Wikki Tourists
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Disciplinary Committee has confirmed a fine of N4 million imposed on Wikki Tourists FC of Bauchi, as stated in a statement signed by the committee's secretary, Ms Queen Otarakpo, on Wednesday in Bauchi.
nThis decision comes after a protest was lodged regarding the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) match between Wikki Tourists FC and Katsina United FC, which took place on Feb. 8, 2026, at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium (ATBS) in Bauchi.
nThe committee reached its decision after reviewing the protest submitted by Wikki Tourists against the initial sanctions imposed by the league body during a meeting to discuss the matter.
nAccording to the committee's findings, Wikki Tourists failed to provide sufficient security measures during the match, allowing unauthorised individuals to enter restricted areas following the first half.
nThe committee also determined that supporters of Wikki Tourists threw hazardous objects, including stones, onto the field during the match.
