Shuaibu of APC emerges victorious in Kano supplementary poll

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially announced Rabiu Shuaibu, the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate, as the victor of the Dawakin Kudu/Warawa Federal Constituency by-election, marking a significant outcome for the party.
nProf. Umar Sani, the Returning Officer, made the declaration on behalf of INEC, stating that the election took place on Saturday and yielded a clear winner.
nAccording to the official results, Rabiu Shuaibu garnered an impressive 35,356 votes, outstripping his closest competitors by a substantial margin.
nLawal Garba-Haruna of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) secured 268 votes, while Abubakar Yahaya-Muhammad of the LP trailed behind with 98 votes, highlighting the dominance of the APC candidate in the by-election.
nProf. Umar Sani formally declared Rabiu Shuaibu the winner, stating that he had met the necessary legal requirements, and was therefore returned as the elected representative.
nThe by-election was convened to fill the vacancy left by the passing of Muhammad Danjuma-Hassan, a member of the NNPP, ensuring that the constituency would continue to have representation.
