Security forces overpower three alleged outlaws, apprehend two others in Plateau

Joint Task Force-Operation Enduring Peace troops have successfully eliminated three suspected terrorists in the Karem community of Wase Local Government Area in Plateau, according to Capt. Polycarp Oteh, the operation's media officer, who made the announcement on Friday in Jos.
nThe achievement came after intelligence reports indicated the presence of suspected terrorists in the area, prompting the deployment of high-alert troops to disrupt their movement, which was being carried out on motorcycles.
nThe terrorists were forced to flee under intense pressure from the troops, resulting in the neutralisation of three insurgents during the engagement.
nThis operational success can be attributed to the strategic deployment of a battalion and specialised counter-terrorism troops, as ordered by the chief of army staff, which has significantly boosted the operation's efficiency.
nIn a separate development, troops arrested two suspects on Thursday in connection with a security breach in the Dutse Uku community of Jos North LGA, where the suspects were found impersonating security personnel while dressed in uniforms.
nThe impostors, clad in black tactical uniforms, were caught engaging in arson and orchestrating violence within the community, and are currently being held in custody.
nTwo individuals who sustained gunshot wounds during the incident are receiving medical treatment and are in a stable condition.
nThe arrest of the suspects serves as a direct response to allegations suggesting military involvement in the Jos North unrest, effectively proving that the atrocities previously attributed to official personnel were actually committed by criminal elements using deceptive attire.
