Ronaldo’s ex-coach to become new Portugal manager
Jorge Jesus is set to become the new head coach of the Portugal national football team following the departure of Roberto Martinez.
nThe 71-year-old Portuguese tactician will take over after Martinez, who led Portugal at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, confirmed he would step down when his contract expires.
nJesus arrives after a spell with Al Nassr FC, where he guided the club to the Saudi Pro League title alongside Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo.
nFootball transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the development in a post on X.
