RE: BASELESS PUBLICATION AND MISLEADING CLAIMS ON THE ALLEGED UNACCEPTABLE DELAY IN THE COMMENCEMENT OF LEADERSHIP TRAINING

The attention of the leadership and beneficiaries of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (Third Phase) has been drawn to a publication credited to one General Dean Jimmy Dino Agada, alleging an “unacceptable delay” in the commencement of leadership training and making unfounded claims against the Amnesty Office and the Administrator of the Programme, Chief Dr. Dennis Burutu Otuaro.rnrnWe categorically describe this publication as misleading, baseless, and lacking any factual foundation. At best, it reflects poor investigation; at worst, it appears to be a sponsored attempt to discredit the leadership of the Programme and misinform beneficiaries and the general public.rnrnFor the avoidance of doubt, the following facts remain clear and verifiable:rnrn1. The leadership training programme is valid, approved, and not out of place.rnIt is a strategic capacity-building initiative aimed at strengthening leadership competence among beneficiaries across the phases.rnrn2. The first batch of beneficiaries has already undergone the training successfully.rnThis fact alone clearly disproves the narrative that the programme is abandoned or indefinitely delayed.rnrn3. Arrangements are ongoing for subsequent batches to be invited.rnBeneficiaries are assured that the remaining phases will be called any moment, as logistics and available resources permit.rnrn4. The Amnesty Office is prudently working with available resources.rnContrary to irresponsible insinuations, the Administrator is managing the Programme with discipline, responsibility, transparency, and sustainability as core priorities.rnrnIt is therefore obvious that the authors of this misleading publication were either poorly informed, deliberately misled, or possibly sponsored by enemies of the Niger Delta region who do not wish the Programme to succeed. We strongly advise the public to disregard the so-called ultimatum and every conclusion drawn from that publication.rnrnIn the same vein, the National Chairman of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (Third Phase), General Elaye Slaboh, has urged all beneficiaries and stakeholders of the Programme to always seek clarification through proper official channels before rushing to the media to publish misinformation capable of tarnishing the hard-earned reputation of the highly respected Coordinator and Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Dr. Dennis Burutu Otuaro.rnrnDr. Otuaro’s leadership has remained progressive, stable, and firmly committed to the ideals of peace, development, and empowerment in the Niger Delta region.
