On Saturday, US President Donald Trump was in attendance as the bodies of the first six US soldiers to be killed in the intensifying conflict with Iran were returned to the United States.

Trump, easily recognizable in a white "USA" baseball cap, was joined by several members of his Cabinet at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware, the designated location for the return of US troops who have lost their lives overseas.

As a mark of respect, Trump saluted each of the flag-draped cases as they were carefully unloaded from a military transport plane, a solemn gesture to honor the fallen soldiers.

The six US troops lost their lives last Sunday when a drone attack targeted a crucial US command center in Kuwait, an incident that occurred just a day after the United States and Israel initiated a comprehensive military operation against Iran.
